Who We Are


Emily Choi


Hello! My name is Emily, and I'm the director of Bread and Roses Childcare. I've been a part of this amazing institution for the past 10 years, and it has been an incredibly rewarding experience. As a graduate of K College, I bring to the table a passion for early childhood education and a strong background in child development. My goal is to work closely with the teachers, parents, and community to provide an inclusive and enriching environment that helps each child thrive.

Cassidy Haan

Lead Teacher

Hello, my name is Cassidy and I have been serving as a lead teacher at Bread and Roses Childcare for the last five years. I am passionate about providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for children to grow and learn in. I hold a Child Development Associate (CDA) certification and am up-to-date on my CPR and first aid training. Outside of my work at the daycare, I am a proud to be apart of Kalamazoo community , and enjoy being involved in the local happenings .


    Lucy Cutler

    Lead Teacher

    My name is Lucy, and I have been a lead teacher here for 5 years. I am passionate about providing the best possible care for children and creating a warm and nurturing environment for them to grow and learn. I am a certified child development associate, I am up-to-date on CPR, first aid training and professional development training in early childhood education. When I'm not in the classroom, I love spending time camping with my dog and partner.

      Assistant Teacher

      I am excited to be part of the team at Bread and Roses Childcare, where we are dedicated to providing an enriching and loving environment for children. As a newly-appointed assistant teacher, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to learn from and grow alongside my colleagues, who are some of the most caring and knowledgeable professionals in the industry. My focus is on ensuring that every child receives the attention and support they need to achieve their full potential.
