Welcome to Bread and Roses!

Bread and Roses was created in 1978 to be a special place, where children could be free to grow and learn in a nurturing, home-like environment.

The stated goal is that Bread and Roses always will include children from various racial and socioeconomic backgrounds. The scholarship program underlines this commitment. Each year, Bread and Roses offers scholarships to ensure our program is inclusive and accessible.

Bread and Roses offers a well-rounded preschool experience, emphasizing social child-directed choices. Bread and Roses staff encourages the creative process within each child to blossom. Bread and Roses inspires a respect for the environment through using recycled materials and respect for our bodies through the nutritious foods it serves.
